Wilderness Grief Journey, designed especially for grieving teens, is a game of cooperation which is needed when hiking in an unknown area. Two to eight players move abound the board in a clockwise direction, stopping at 10 different “stations” along the way.
After choosing one of several questions and answering it at the first station, each player receives a colorful backpack. As they move around the board, they earn items needed for their journey such as hiking boots, a compass, and lantern to light their way. Their trek through the wilderness ends back at the beginning; and players will discover they have shared some important experiences and insights about their grief and loss along the way. Laminated game board, backpacks, cards, and directions are included in a tube container.
Using the theme of traveling in the wilderness, the Wilderness Grief Journey uses bright outdoor pictures and colorful stones to make a journey around the board. Players answer questions while visiting a campfire, the swamp, whitewater canoeing, and the crossing. For 2 or more players, ages 12+. Played best in a group setting for players to share experiences. Laminated game board, cards, stones, and rules included. Packaged in tube container.
Wilderness Grief Journey was designed by Sharon Rugg, RPT, who also created the Healing Hearts game for grieving children.
