For the price, this is a great way to get started! I bought this for the agency where I work, and we had a tight budget for figures. The list of items accurately portrays the categories of miniatures included. Great way to accumulate items from key categories without spending tons of time and money. I think I am especially going to value the 2 hollow houses, trees, tealight, and variety of professional and family figures.
However, I think a few minor changes to the kit could make it really shine, without adding many additional figures. I'll be making some changes before I really feel comfortable using this with clients. The only religious symbols in the kit are a cross and 2 angels, and I think a few more symbols would be important. I'd also sacrifice some animals (not really!) in order to have one animal family. None of the animals in the kit could be related. If the single strip of wooden fencing were replaced with a small set of plastic fences, I think the "Boundaries" would be much more versatile for clients to use. Fences are super important in sand tray. Some of the camels (there were 6!) could be replaced with monsters, sea creatures, signs, or even shells or stones. And finally, but perhaps most important to my work, some of the white figures need to be replaced by figures of color... the set is not as diverse as it suggests it is! With a little adding and replacing, this kit is a great way to get started quickly!
