Wonderful choices. I do wish there was more in the starter kit. A few more people options and fences in my opinion.

My clients brought up that the people are different from their experiences (a white women, white male, white child female, a black child male, a black older women, and “light skinned” older male). Two of them got really hung up on color and age of the miniatures.

Most of the items in this set are useful and durable wit the exception of the nest/egg, wishing well, and bridges, which my kiddos destroyed pretty quickly.. However, this set is really all you need to start your own sand play session if you already have yourself a sand box/sand :)

This kit has everything you need to conduct quality play therapy services. The pieces are well organized and catalogued to address a variety of issues, with special focus on addressing issues like violence, substances use, domestic violence and other issues that children may have difficulty verbalizing. It is comprehensive and the pieces last a very long time because they are well put together.

More than I hoped for. This assemnly of miniatures gives me so many symbolic ways to express what's going on inside. I am not a therapist but have been drawn to this work for myself. Each day I "play." Sometimes for 5 minutes. Sometimes for 20 minutes. I am often surprised by my object choice. Other times I am embarrassed - why did I choose that dragon to represent her? This selection of figures allows for so much expression.

This is a really nice, basic starter kit for sand tray work. It represents many of the categories used in sand work, and while the items may not last forever, I don't think they're really designed to- just to get you started, and then as they break or you get deeper into sand tray work, you can replace them. They also work well for portable trays and intensive in-home work!

I've just started using the miniatures as part of my therapeutic work with students aged between 8 and 15. I'm impressed with the variety of pieces included in the starter kit. My students have been really absorbed in choosing the symbols and figures which best help them make sense of their unique situations. It has led to some meaningful conversations for us. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into deciding what to include. Thank you for giving me another creative way to work with my young clients!

This is a great starter kit. I have had it in the counseling room for a couple of weeks and the selection of figures has definitely facilitated the children’s work in the sand tray. I felt the prize was very reasonable and the figures good quality.
