"Stop Think Choose" Creative Character Education Series - Volume One Book helps elementary school counselors train their students in ten important life skills that they will need to succeed in school and life: Responsibility, Impulse Control, Anger Management, Empathy, Self Esteem, Stress Relief, Persistence, Shyness, Competitiveness and Bully Prevention. The Book consists of ten modules, one for each of the above good character traits. Each module starts with objectives and materials needed, and consists of a theme-specific story, song, call and response lyric/poem, activities, assessment questions and reproducible artwork to demonstrate the importance of that character trait.

The "Stop Think Choose" Book also includes the American School Counselor Association's Mindsets and Behaviors Planning Tool and each module includes a checklist of ASCA standards that the lesson fulfills. The Book is spiral bound to make it easy to reproduce artwork and keep your place while teaching.
